Together, we’re building a better future—responsibly, inclusively, and with purpose.What You Will Be Doing?Draft, proofread, and issue contractual letters, notices, and formal correspondence to the Subcontractors.Assistance in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating subcontract terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with overarching contracts.Assistance in contractual and legal research on relevant topics, particularly related to the Construction Act of Ontario.Contributes to the review of flow-down of obligations, liabilities, risks and performance milestones from the overarching agreements to the SubcontractorsAssistance in ensuring the Subcontractor’s compliance with contractual obligations during performance of the scope of work by SubcontractorsLiaising with multiple cross-functional team members for topics related to claims, changes and disputes.Maintain detailed records for claims, changes and dispute management.Updating and maintenance of the correspondence log with the subcontractors.Participation in the Subcontract kick off meetings and other review meetings.Conducting specific meetings with the subcontractors to resolve key contractual issues and prepare minutes of meetings with agreed action items.Maintaining excellent relationships with internal stakeholders and the SubcontractorsWhat We Are Looking For?Bachelor’s degree in law or Paralegal Studies is preferred1–3 years of experience in a legal, contracts, or commercial support role, ideally within the construction or infrastructure sector.Exceptional English communication skills, especially in drafting formal contractual correspondence.Strong knowledge and understanding of the legal & contractual provisions in the subcontract agreementsWorking knowledge of the Construction Act of Ontario is an asset.Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook etc.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary Joint Venture environment.Why Choose Webuild?Competitive compensation & retirement savings – We offer a strong compensation package with an RRSP matching program (currently up to 4% for permanent employees).Iconic projects – Be part of major linear infrastructure projects that shape Canada’s future.Comprehensive group benefits (for permanent roles working 20+ hours per week).Wellbeing support – Access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program whenever you need it.Work-life balance – We actively encourage a healthy balance between work and personal life.Time to recharge – Vacation entitlement: 3–4 weeks annually, based on experience and in accordance with company policy and applicable employment standards.Grow with us – Tailored training and development opportunities to advance your career.Extra perks – Enjoy discounts like 20% off at GoodLife Fitness (currently available to Ontario employees through our group benefits provider, subject to change).Join the Webuild LifeAt Webuild, we believe diverse perspectives drive innovation, strengthen teams, and lead to better outcomes.
