We are a lean team focused on driving real value in enabling a rapidly growing business.About The RoleBased in Dyson Business Services’ Krakow offices, this role would suit someone looking to develop their procurement careers within category management and/ or general indirect procurement. This role would be a 12 month FTC.You should see your role as improving business outcomes, rather than ticking boxes. The role will support the global marketing category procurement team within a 40+-person Global Indirect Procurement Team located between the UK, Chicago, Amsterdam, Stockholm, Singapore, Japan, China, Philippines and Malaysia.Impact on BusinessThe Junior Category Manager will be responsible for supporting the execution of the overall category strategy to achieve or exceed agreed savings targets for the category.Managing competitive bidding processes using Dyson’s preferred tool, Ariba (RFIs, RFPs, e-auctions etc).Support Senior Category Managers with management of strategic supplier relationshipsHelping to develop a supply base to build the capacity and capability to deliver the business’ requirements.Continually monitoring compliance across the indirect spend and driving corrective action as necessary.Customers / StakeholdersAs part of the relevant Procurement Team, support the development of dynamic, robust, forward-looking category plans based on business needs, supply market dynamics, and technological changes in marketplace.Engage with stakeholders to keep them appraised of project progress as directed by your managerSupport supplier relationship management in the classification of new suppliers to determine the most appropriate SRM treatment.Operational Effectiveness & ControlSupport in delivering a pipeline of projects to achieve or exceed agreed savings target for the category.Keep management appraised of issues and progress on projects.Ensure category and project data (savings, pipeline, milestones, risks, issues, taxonomy) is accurate and reflective of reality.Ensure quality of content and compliance with relevant sourcing and category planning governance.About YouBachelors Degree or equivalent.Fluent oral and written EnglishKnowledge of Marketing category procurement2 – 5 year’s experience in procurement with experience of RFPs, RFIs, RFxsBase level understanding of contracting process (i.e Master Service Agreements & Statement of works)Hungry to learnComfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced, challenging environmentGood numeracy & analytical skillsAble to work in diverse environments and adhere to highest ethical standardsConfidence and credibility with good communication and relationship management skillsDemonstrates personal energy, productivity, encouraging good resilience in othersA driven self-starter, who can work autonomously and as part of a small team.Identifies and raises opportunities and/or challengesCommercially astute and with a strong eye for detailDesirableKnowledge of category procurement across one or more of Marketing, Retail, Professional Services, IT, LogisticsExperience of e-procurement processes, systems & spend reporting (Ariba)Skilled, or capable of being skilled, in all sourcing process disciplinesExperience of working with global teamsReward packageA competitive starting salary: from PLN 142,100.00 annually with potential for a higher offer based on skills and experience.
