In our unit, the Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS) – based in Zürich-Oerlikon, development and production of different GIS products are managed globally. We ensure high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods.We are looking for someone to strengthen our GIS Project Manager team here in Zürich-Oerlikon. You will become part of a global team with very diverse backgrounds and experience as well. You will represent Hitachi Energy to our customers and manage GIS projects end to end.How You’ll Make An ImpactLead as a project manager and actively contribute to the project phases of handover from sales, project structuring and planning, engineering, procurement, manufacturing, FAT, delivery, installation, testing, handover to customer and ultimately closingBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all of themAct as the main contact focal point for our international customers in daily communication, leading face to face customer meetings and factory acceptance tests to ensure customer satisfactionIdentify, qualify, quantify and manage project risks and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursuedEffectively monitor and control project progress, use of resources and project financials in collaboration with supervisorResponsible for change, claim & risk management of projects and financial reporting to controlling teamYour backgroundBachelor’s degree of mechanical or electrical engineering or similar is a mustBasic knowledge of GIS substationsKnowledge of business administration is helpfulAssociate PM certification (PMP or equivalent) is desirableExcellent command of both spoken and written English is required, proficiency in German or any additional language is considered an assetStrong communication, interpersonal skillsWell-structured and stress resistant, fast learnerMore About UsOur flexible working practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
