ARTIDIS enables professionals to design personalized cancer treatment plans tailored to individual patients' needs and desired outcomes.Job PurposeAs a Junior Test Automation Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that the software which controls our medical device functions correctly and performs reliably according to the expectation of the medical professionals who will use the device. You will be tasked with the design, implantation and validation of automated tests and automation test frameworks to boost the efficiency of our testing and development process. You will also contribute in writing software requirements and establish test protocols to validate these requirements. You will be executing tests either on our complex medical device, on mock-ups and test benches, or within virtual simulation environments. You will play a crucial role in analyzing software anomalies and regression issues across the full software stack, from the low-level hardware driver to the graphical user interface. To do all of this, you will work closely with the software engineers, the hardware engineers, the product owners, the operations teams, the user experience designers, and our quality management team in a productive and motivating environment to bring this novel and unique product to the market for the benefit of patients around the world.Duties And ResponsibilitiesEvaluate, prototype and introduce new test automation technologies for hardware-in-the-loop testing and automated testing frameworks for our hardware specific control software.Design and implement script language based code for testing frameworks, data processing, the analysis of log files and descriptive statistics on large sets of raw data.Run manual software tests on our devices, carefully record the results and provide feedback to the software developers, and continuously increase the level of automation for our testing task.Maintain and service, and support the repair of, our test devices, test-benches and virtual simulation environments.Create and review software test and validation protocols based on software requirements, software anomaly reports.Support the establishment of test strategies and new software testing processes.Review software requirements and provide expertise from the software tester’s perspective.Collaborate with the device operations and development operations (DevOps) team to collect user feedback, problem reports and non-conformity reports and translate them into actionable items for the software engineering and DevOps team.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical certification.Strong skills in software and hardware troubleshooting, data analysis, and debugging.Skilled in designing and implementing scripts (in Python, JavaScript or similar) for control and automation tasks, and for the purpose of data analysis and visualization.Basic experience with Linux based operating systems.Ability to identify and analyze diverse technical issues in a complex hardware-software system in order to devise effective solutions to resolve them.Excellent English communication skills and ability to establish precise, comprehensive and unambiguous instructions and reports. Experience with electro-mechanical or opto-mechanical systems, medical devices, camera systems, robots and/or embedded electronics is a strong plus.Experience of working in a strongly regulated industry (e.g. medical devices, pharmaceuticals, aerospace) is a strong plus.Experience with C++/Qt, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, deployment infrastructure, IOT device management, and/or development operations (DevOps) is a strong plus.Ability to work independently and dynamically to deliver accurate, complete and reliable results.Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to meet project deadlines.Working Conditions The environment is a typical start-up with an intrinsically motivated international team.
