Job Description

A Canadian division of a global solutions provider is looking for a driven and detail-focused Junior Accountant to support its growing finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for early-career professionals who are eager to develop their accounting skills in a project-driven, operations-focused environment. If you’re interested in gaining end-to-end exposure in transactional accounting, payroll, and financial operations, this role offers both learning and impact. About the RoleWorking closely with finance and project teams, you will manage core transactional accounting tasks across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory.

You’ll also support monthly close procedures and contribute to audit readiness efforts, helping ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency across the business.

What You’ll DoManage daily accounting tasks including order validation, inventory entries, and revenue recognitionReconcile inventory receipts and coordinate with project managers for accuracyPrepare and issue client invoices in a timely and accurate mannerOversee vendor payments and accounts payable codingAssist with product cost setup and perform cost analysisSupport accounts receivable and assist with collection activitiesProcess payroll and respond to payroll-related inquiriesHelp track construction work-in-progress for financial reportingPerform reconciliations for AR, AP, and inventory accountsConduct quarterly AR and AP confirmationsContribute to the month-end close and maintain organized records for auditsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related disciplineStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsSound knowledge of transactional accounting and reconciliation processesHigh attention to detail and commitment to data accuracyAdvanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookupsClear and professional written communication skillsProven ability to meet deadlines in a structured environmentAwareness of internal audit processes and documentation standardsWhy JoinThis role offers valuable exposure to a broad range of finance functions within a well-established, project-based business.
