Job SummaryThe Accounting Supervisor leads daily accounting operations, focusing on accounts receivable and financial reporting for capital partners. This role ensures accuracy, compliance (including SOX), and timely reporting, while managing and mentoring the AR team. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily AR operations and billing accuracy Prepare financial reports and respond to requests from capital partners Ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company policies Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare journal entries Collaborate with departments (e. g.
, Hospitality, IT) on billing and systems Identify and improve inefficient or risky accounting processes Serve as point of contact for financial issues with communities Leadership & Supervision Directly supervise AR and assigned accounting staff Set goals, provide feedback, and conduct evaluations Ensure team adherence to policies, deadlines, and quality standards Lead training, performance tracking, and process audits Foster a collaborative, values-driven work culture Requirements Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5–7 years of accounting experience; supervisory experience preferred Proficient in NetSuite, Excel, and financial systems Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Industry experience (senior living, healthcare, hospitality) a plus What’s in it for me?
