Job Description

Job SummaryThe Accounting Supervisor oversees accounts payable, development accounting, and budgeting/forecasting for the organization. This role ensures financial accuracy and compliance while supporting development projects and leading planning efforts. It also supervises the AP team and drives process improvements across systems and reporting.

Key Responsibilities Manage AP, development accounting, and financial planning for assigned entities Reconcile balance sheets, review income statements, and record journal entries Lead AP team to ensure timely, accurate processing of payables and expense reports Oversee month/year-end close and ensure timely 1099 filings Support development accounting and collaborate with internal teams Administer and maintain budgeting software, reports, and templates Identify workflow improvements and implement tech solutions Resolve discrepancies with external vendors and internal partners Leadership Supervise and develop AP and accounting staff Set goals, provide feedback, and evaluate performance Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies Monitor KPIs and address performance issues as needed Conduct regular team meetings and foster a collaborative culture Qualifications Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5–7 years of accounting experience; leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP, reporting, and financial systems Proficient in NetSuite, Concur, AvidXChange, Adaptive Insights, and Excel CPA or CMA preferred Industry experience (senior living, healthcare, hospitality) is a plus What’s in it for me?
