As a Kitchen Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment to ensure smooth operations in our commercial kitchen facilities.Perform regular maintenance and repairs on various kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and food processorsTroubleshoot and diagnose issues with kitchen appliances and systemsConduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent equipment breakdownsInstall new kitchen equipment and ensure proper setup and calibrationImplement and maintain safety protocols in the kitchen areaManage inventory of spare parts and supplies for kitchen equipmentCoordinate with kitchen staff and management to minimize disruptions during maintenance and repair workMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment statusStay updated on the latest kitchen equipment technologies and maintenance techniquesRespond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime in kitchen operationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen equipment maintenance or a related fieldStrong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliancesProficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various kitchen systemsBasic understanding of plumbing and electrical systemsFamiliarity with food service industry standards and regulationsValid food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe)Excellent problem-solving and time management skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressureGood communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staffPhysical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environmentVocational training in kitchen equipment maintenance is preferredFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
