The RoleWe are seeking an experienced sales manager with strong expertise in EdTech to lead the growth of our educational technology solutions.
You will be responsible for product marketing of tools and services developed by KIC within multi-partner international Research & Development projects, digital learning solutions and educational technology products. You will manage the entire sales cycle — from identifying opportunities and building relationships to negotiating and closing high-value contracts. This is a strategic role, focused on expanding KIC’s presence in the education and EdTech markets. Responsibilities - Identify and develop new business opportunities within the EdTech and higher education ecosystem. - Manage the full sales process: prospecting, pitching, proposals, negotiations, and closing.
- Work closely with product and R&D teams to align solutions with institutional and market needs. - Build long-term relationships with universities, policy makers, and industry stakeholders. - Conduct market research to spot trends, competitors, and opportunities in EdTech. - Maintain and expand CRM pipelines, ensuring systematic tracking of prospects and sales metrics. - Represent KIC at European events, conferences, and client meetings. All candidates should have an EU work-permit, or a work-permit for an EU candidate country. The position will also involve travel within Europe for up to 2 days per month. The candidate will work in Slovenia/Belgium or working from home.
The suitable candidate will show the following knowledge, skills and attitudes: Knowledge and skillsSuch knowledge and skills may be displayed by: - 3+ years of proven success in B2B sales, with at least 2 years in EdTech sales (preferred: LMS, digital learning solutions, higher education platforms, or related). - Strong understanding of the European EdTech landscape, higher education digital transformation, and funding programmes. - Demonstrated ability to translate complex technology solutions into client value. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with diverse audiences. - Goal-driven, strategic thinker, and strong relationship builder. - Fluent in English, plus working proficiency in at least 2 European languages.
