About Our Food Connects Food, and the people who produce it, play an irreplaceable role in our health, wellbeing, identity and culture. Yet, knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Irish farming and food production is in decline. To address this, Ireland’s agri-food industry has come together to help reconnect Irish society with Irish agriculture.Our Food Connects is an initiative to help Irish farmers and the agri-food industry tell their story more effectively. Our goal is to educate and inform through facts and evidence. We want to dispel misinformation and misunderstanding; and be clear, honest and open, owning our challenges, and the actions we are taking to address them.Role PurposeThe Knowledge Management & CRM Marketing Manager will lead the development, management, and promotion of the Our Food Connects Advocate Support Programme including the Knowledge Management System (KMS), Communications Programme, Community of Practice and associated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. They will ensure that:The KMS functions as a trusted, user-friendly knowledge hub for academics, industry experts, and social influencers.The CRM supports effective relationship management, enabling targeted communications and strategic stakeholder engagement.The Communications programme delivers practical skills for storytelling and public communications.Regular communications and Community of Practice events keep KMS users informed, inspired, and connected to industry developments in Irish food sustainability.This role blends digital knowledge management with strategic engagement and marketing communications, ensuring Ireland’s food & farming achievements are shared consistently and credibly.Key Responsibilities1. Knowledge Management System (KMS)Oversee the design, operation, and continuous improvement of the KMS.Curate and update resources, including research, case studies, and multimedia toolkits.Ensure credibility and accuracy of content through collaboration with an editorial board.Showcase best practice, innovation and sectoral progress.Monitor usage and analyse data to guide improvements and user experience.2. CRM & Stakeholder EngagementImplement and manage the CRM to track academics, experts, media, and influencers.Maintain accurate, segmented stakeholder records for targeted outreach.Generate engagement insights and reports to inform strategy.Enable cross-sector collaboration and support strong relationships with partners and high-profile users of the system.3. Communications SupportsStrengthen peer-to-peer connectionsBuild practical skills for storytelling and public communications4. Marketing Develop and deliver engaging communications to KMS users (newsletters, updates, alerts).Create campaigns to promote new KMS resources, features, or sectoral milestones.Manage digital outreach channels (email marketing, social channels, online community tools).Coordinate webinars, training sessions, and stakeholder events.Person SpecificationEssential Skills & ExperienceExperienced (3+ years) manager in CRM, marketing communications or marketing operations. Educated to degree or post graduate level in a relevant field.Digital communications experience (newsletters, campaigns, content creation).Experience managing knowledge or content platforms (KMS, CMS, or similar).CRM expertise (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, MS Dynamics).Strong organisational and project management skills.Event design and delivery (online and in-person).Desirable Skills & ExperienceFamiliarity with the food, agriculture, or sustainability sectors.Knowledge transfer, research communication, experience.Data analytics and reporting (Google Analytics, CRM dashboards).Understanding of UX design and accessibility standards.AttributesCollaborative and people-focused, with strong interpersonal skills.Innovative and proactive in developing user engagement strategies.Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Passionate about nutrition, food systems, and public communication.
