What we’re looking forWe have an opportunity to join our team in a pivotal role in our Copenhagen office, a centre of engineering excellence. We’re seeking a talented, experienced Head of Platform Engineering to lead our platform engineering and technical support teams (level 2 and level 3 support). This is a strategic position, which involves responsibility for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure, while ensuring top-tier support for our clients. Driving our mission to improve public transportation experiences through innovative technology solutions, you’ll play a vital role in shaping the future of our SaaS platform.
Your leadership will be crucial to ensure continuous best practices in platform engineering, automation, and building and maintaining an aligned technical roadmap. You will foster a collaborative work environment, and will equip the L2/L3 support team to handle complex customer inquiries efficiently. You will work closely with cross-functional and cross-border teams to deliver exceptional services and solutions with minimum downtime. You will manage a small team of three highly experienced platform engineers, and will report to the Head of Country for Kuba Denmark.

Your responsibilitiesOversee the architecture of our platform, managing tools, people, and processesBalance and manage a diverse stakeholder group, spread across global officesEffectively align product roadmaps and project roadmaps to drive successCollaborate closely with developers to design, build, and deliver high-quality, reliable infrastructure solutions.
Drive the development and maintenance of the current Infrastructure-as-Code as well as other automation processes to cover as much of the development lifecycle as possible. Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes-based systems, with a focus on reliability, observability, and maintainability. Continuously monitor and handle cost and security issues across all platforms. Contribute to strategic decisions on platform architecture, tooling, and DevOps practices. Write robust, maintainable, and efficient code in Python to support the infrastructure and processes. Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of infrastructure and hands-on experience building automation tools. Deep expertise in Python, Public Cloud Platforms, Kubernetes, and Development Lifecycle Tools.
Comfortable designing and building infrastructure automation; knowledge of Pulumi (or Terraform) is a strong advantage. Well-versed in Platform Engineering and SRE methodologies, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines. Proactive, curious, and motivated to drive technical decisions, mentor peers, and improve platform reliability across distributed systems. Proven experience in a leadership role within platform engineering or technical support. Strong background in cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure. Expertise in container orchestration (e. g. , Kubernetes) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Familiarity with microservices architecture and DevOps practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across teams. Experience with microservice based systems is a strong plus. Fluency in English is a requirement. Desired Skills: Technical proficiency in languages such as Python and Java. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e. g. , Datadog, Prometheus). Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
