Overview TITAN Group is seeking a Lab Assistant (Instrumental Analysis) to support advanced analytical activities within the Group Research & Development / Central Lab Facility, based at the Kamari Plant in Magoula, Greece. The role contributes to Research & Development, Innovation initiatives, and technical services by performing high-quality instrumental analyses, including crystallography, microscopy, and spectroscopy techniques.Working closely with the Instrumental Analysis Manager and cross-functional teams, the role supports method development, analytical excellence, and knowledge sharing across the Group. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in materials science and hands-on experience in laboratory instrumentation who is eager to contribute to innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Conduct and coordinate analytical activities using advanced analytical techniques (e.g., XRD, SEM) in support of R&D, Innovation, and technical services. Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods and protocols to ensure accuracy, reproducibility, and compliance with internal and external standards. Support the implementation of advanced analytical methods in manufacturing quality control and contribute to procedures aligned with operational excellence, decarbonization, and digitalization. Analyze, interpret, and manage experimental data to support product and process development initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams across TITAN Business Units to deliver timely and high-quality results. Update operational manuals, data collection forms, and platforms that support Innovation and Quality activities. Stay informed on relevant scientific and technological developments and support knowledge transfer and training sessions. Contribute to scientific publications, grant applications, and collaboration with external scientific partners. Maintain and enhance professional expertise by attending workshops, reviewing literature, and participating in professional networks. Qualifications Candidate Profile Qualifications Master’s degree in Science or Engineering (e.g., Physics, Materials Science, Chemical, Industrial, Material or Metallurgical Engineering); with minimum 4 years of relevant experience. OR Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Fluent in English, both written and oral. Military obligations fulfilled (where applicable). Experience Proven technical proficiency in crystallographic and microscopic analytical methods (e.g., XRD, SEM). Experience with cement-based materials and/or additional spectroscopic techniques (e.g., XRF) is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, method development, and analytical protocols. Familiarity with laboratory information management systems and scientific planning or reporting tools. Experience working in multicultural or international environments is considered a plus. Willingness to travel internationally . Skills & Competencies Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; able to influence without formal authority. Innovative mindset with a continuous improvement orientation. Proficiency with scientific software such as Topas, Profex, Crystallographica; knowledge of Python is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
