Overview TITAN Group is seeking a Research Assistant (RA) to support the development of innovative product formulations within the Group Research and Development department. Based at the Kamari Plant in Magoula, Greece, the role focuses on laboratory analytical activities related to chemical admixtures, additives, and new material technologies.The RA will work closely with the Admixtures R&D Manager and cross-functional teams to plan and execute experimental procedures, evaluate raw materials, support formulation development, and contribute to decarbonization and innovation initiatives. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in chemistry or materials science, combined with hands-on laboratory experience and a passion for scientific investigation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Support R&D projects by assisting in formulation development, raw material evaluation, and new technical solutions related to decarbonization. Develop and optimize formulations for new cement and concrete admixtures. Conduct laboratory-scale reaction, separation, and analysis tests; support scaling-up activities. Prepare chemical solutions and samples for analysis and testing. Perform routine and non-routine laboratory tests following SOPs and good laboratory practices. Document all laboratory activities in notebooks and digital systems. Process experimental data and assist in method development and validation. Organize and present findings in reports and internal meetings. Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (pH meters, viscometers, titration equipment, etc.). Maintain laboratory cleanliness, safety standards, and chemical inventories. Contribute to lab quality system evaluations and reporting activities. Collaborate efficiently with colleagues to ensure timely completion of tasks. Ensure strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Support dissemination of research findings and innovation activities. Qualifications Candidate Profile Qualifications Master’s degree in Science or Engineering (Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical, Industrial, Material, or Metallurgical Engineering) with at least 4 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in the above fields with at least 6 years of relevant research or industrial experience. Fluent in English, both written and oral. Military obligations fulfilled (where applicable). Experience Proven experience in laboratory techniques for the preparation and handling of organic, organometallic, and inorganic compounds. Hands-on experience conducting analytical procedures according to SOPs and safety protocols. Experience with cement-based materials is highly desirable. Familiarity with Lean methodologies, DOE (Design of Experiments), and statistical analysis tools. Experience working in multicultural or international environments preferred.
