Our genomics based diagnostic solution for Tuberculosis was recognized as one of top innovations supported by BIRAC in the past 10 years, and was launched by the Prime Minister of India in the BIRAC Showcase event in Delhi, 2022.What We Want You To DoOperational & Process ManagementOversee and manage day-to-day laboratory operations, ensuring seamless workflow across all departments. Develop, implement, and monitor SOPs, workflows, and operational policies to maintain efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. Supervise and coordinate with biomedical engineers, ensuring proper functioning, calibration, and preventive maintenance of all laboratory equipment. Collaborate with R&D, Bioinformatics, and Clinical teams to ensure alignment of lab operations with project timelines and data quality goals. Ensure strict adherence to biochemical waste management, biosafety and biosecurity practices within the laboratory. Quality ManagementEstablish, maintain, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) in accordance with NABL/ISO or other relevant accreditation standards. Oversee internal quality control (IQC), external quality assurance (EQA), and audit preparedness. Manage documentation for audits, certifications, and regulatory inspections. Implement and monitor Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for all non-conformities. Ensure continuous training and competency assessments for lab personnel to maintain technical excellence. People Management & Team LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop the laboratory team, ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards. Allocate responsibilities, set performance goals, and monitor outcomes for all lab staff. Foster a collaborative and accountable work culture focused on continuous learning and operational excellence. Stores & Inventory ManagementOversee procurement, inventory tracking, and stores management for reagents, consumables, and equipment. Ensure optimal stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. Coordinate with vendors for timely supply, service contracts, and procurement approvals.Continuous Improvement & ComplianceDrive process optimization and cost-efficiency initiatives to enhance productivity. Ensure all laboratory practices comply with statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. Regularly review and update operational processes to align with evolving technologies and standards. What Are We Looking In YouMaster’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field. Minimum 3+ years of experience managing laboratory operations in a diagnostics, genomics, or biomedical setup. Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), laboratory audits, and regulatory compliance (NABL/ISO). Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and technical personnel, including biomedical engineers. Expertise in equipment handling, calibration, and preventive maintenance.
