Learn more at www.harmonicinc.com.Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Lab Support Manager for our R&D lab.You will report to the Director of System Integration & QA, Broadband business unit.LocationOn-site – working 5 days a week from our offices in Caesarea.What You Will Be DoingManagement and maintenance of R&D Lab located worldwide and containing HW setups under testing including networking components (switches/routers/servers). Lead a Lab support team: setting goals, KPIs, controlling SLA, managing priorities. Lab equipment planning, purchasing and accounting. Planning new installations and supporting existing setup. Designing and configuring Networking. Perform monitoring, maintenance, cleaning the labs. Communicate with R&D Teams, local IT, local contractors to build and configure the Lab. Report status and progress on lab activities to management on frequent cadence. Manage ETAs and users’ expectations. Control patching, cabling, electricity, air conditioning, water and fire protection. Distribute, install and connect equipment physically in the lab: switches, servers, RPDs, CMs, PON equipment. Maintain Lab’s storage, virtual platform and backups. Maintain setups and equipment documentation: Confluence, Jira, Visio, Etc. Working on automation and Lab improvements: implementing new tools which help to increase Lab support efficiency. What You Should HaveExpected knowledge to get in the first couple of months. It is a big amount of knowledge, most of which should be self-learned: BA/MA degree in technical sciences. 3 years’ experience in Data Centers Management: leading teams, planning, purchasing, equipment distribution and accounting, documentation, etc. Lab hands-on experience: cabling, wiring, equipment installation, etc. Networking hands on experience (routers/switches configuration). Basic Networking knowledge (CCNA level). Linux, VmWare, Zabbix knowledge – Advantage. High technical and managerial abilities, good proven debugging abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills and high customer service awareness. High initiative and time management skills. Good reporting and documentation maintenance skills.
