We believe in fostering an inclusive environment where everyone’s contribution supports a shared goal: creating sustainable impact through innovative materials.About the RoleWe are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support our technical team in maintaining smooth and consistent laboratory operations. This role is process-driven and routine-focused, ensuring that our lab runs efficiently to enable our researchers and engineers to deliver high-quality results.This position is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, enjoys ensuring everything runs like clockwork, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of consistency and reliability.ResponsibilitiesRunning analytical testing using a range of laboratory equipmentGenerating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Conducting accurate data entry and assisting with data analysisManaging lab consumables and maintaining stock control systemsPreparing standard formulations and test samplesEnsuring smooth day-to-day running of the laboratory environmentSupporting researchers and engineers by maintaining lab readiness, cleanliness, and complianceMonitoring and maintaining equipment logs and calibration schedulesKey Qualities & SkillsRequired:Experience working in a laboratory or analytical environment (3 years+)Strong organisational and time management skills -  able to manage multiple routine tasks dailyExcellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining consistency in lab processesClear written and verbal communication skillsProactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining lab standardsProficiency in Microsoft Office or similar data management toolsRight to work in the UKDesirable:Experience with coatings, materials science, or analytical chemistryFamiliarity with lab stock management systemsKnowledge of quality control procedures and data recording best practicesBasic data analysis experience using Microsoft excelAdditional personal qualities that would suit this role:Dependable and takes ownership of routine lab operationsProcess-driven with a methodical working styleEnjoys working collaboratively to support others’ researchCalm and efficient under pressureStrong commitment to health and safety in the workplaceBenefitsFlexible working hoursCompetitive share options scheme25 days annual leave + bank holidays + birthday day offProfessional development and training opportunitiesRegular team socials and a wellbeing budgetCycle to work schemeHiring ProcessInterviews will take place in November, and applications will close on 7th November 2025.
