Southeast Bank PLC is looking for Law Officer (AO to AVP)Job Description / ResponsibilityLegal Affairs Division:Minimum 10 (ten) years of practical experience in the relevant field, including court procedures.Experience in law firms and/or banks/financial institutions will be given preference.In-depth knowledge of Negotiable Instruments Act, Artha Rin Adalat Ain, Contract Act, Land Laws, and Commercial Laws. Etc.Strong understanding of case filing procedures and litigation management.Dynamic, self-motivated, and disciplined individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential.Candidates from public universities and those with A & O Levels and/or Barrister-at-Law qualifications are encouraged to apply.Credit Administration Division:The candidates should have minimum 06/04 years professional work experience on loan documentation for the rank of Executive Officer / Senior Officer respectively including as follows: (a) Legal vetting against landed property/building/others offered to Bank as collateral security upon identifying the actual ownership title, unbroken chain of ownership etc. from the Title Deed, relevant Bia Deeds and other documents, as applicable.(b) Searching/verification of property documents such as Title Deed, Bia Deed, Mutation, DCR, Ground Rent, Allotment, Mortgage Permission, etc. from related Govt. Offices.(c) Drafting Sale Deed, Partition Deed, RM & RIGPA Deed, Pari Passu security sharing agreement, Deed of Redemption, Power Cancellation Deed, NIGPA Deed, Loan Agreement, Cross collateralization Deed, Undertaking, Charge creation/ modification with RJSC, Search Report of RJSC etc. in compliance with the Law of the Land.(d) Maintaining correspondence with Bank’s Panel Lawyer/other related parties for ascertaining chain of ownership, title holder against properties already mortgaged with Bank/offered as collateral security.(e) Maintain proper documentation of all legal records and ensure compliance with Banking and regulatory requirements.(f) Adequate knowledge in The Registration Act, The Transfer of Property Act, The Stamp Act, The Negotiable Instrument Act, The Artha Rin Adalat Ain, The Powers of Attorney Act, The State Acquisition & Tenancy Act and other land related Acts.(g) Any other loan documentation issue(s).Educational RequirementsBachelor of Law (LLB)Master of Law (LLM)Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hon’s) and/or Master of Laws (LL.M) from any reputed university having no 3rd Division/Class or below GPA 2.00 and CGPA 2.25 in academic attainments.Candidates must have good academic attainments throughout their academic career.Enrollment as an Advocate of the Bar Council will be preferred.Job LocationAnywhere in Bangladesh
