Layout Artist

Mongoose Publishing is looking for a full-time Layout Artist to join our team.If you are looking for a place that will give you creative freedom, a good salary, and eventually equal ownership of the company, this is the position you are looking for.Mongoose is casting the net to find a Layout Artist who can take creative ownership of a book from the original manuscript to the print ready file, including commissioning and producing art. This person will work with artists and writers to produce fine quality gaming books within a team-based environment, while learning all aspects of running a tabletop gaming company.In return, we will pay you a base salary of £35,000, with excellent financial bonuses and useful perks, including a company car. If you stay with us, you will end up owning your own games company as we transition to full and equal employee ownership.We are looking for someone with excellent artistic talent and good ideas who will push the presentation of our games such as Traveller, Paranoia and Dark Conspiracy to new heights.What we care aboutMust be a gamer. If you do not understand games, you will not be able to help create them.Must be able to work full-time from our Swindon office in the UK. You will be working as part of a creative team, and we will also be teaching you how to run a company that you will one day own.Must be able to use Adobe tools to create new books ready for print from raw text.Ideally have experience creating video.What you care about£35,000 base salary.Bonuses paid out monthly, from an equal share of company profits.
