Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecommunication equipment. Can be called to work outside of current workplace to ensure quality of service to customers. Must be willing to participate in on-call duty tech rotation schedule including call outs to remote/isolated terrestrial locations. Motivated to share experiences, cross train, and transfer knowledge with lesser experienced colleagues.Requirements / QualificationsValid driver's licenseData Center / Telecom Experience RequiredExperience with various building infrastructural elements such as: UPS, Generators, Chillers, HVAC, Switchgear, etc.Experience with Building Management Systems and Alarm IntegrationExperience with Single Line Diagrams and Interpretation of Mechanical and Electrical SchematicsPerform Daily Routines, Manage Preventative Maintenance, Vendors, and Contracts (Scheduling and Terms)Ability to Train other on infrastructure operation and fault managementExperience with Auditing and Compliance (ISO/ISAE) a plusKnowledge of IP, DWDM, and EthernetKnowledge of standardized Ethernet cable structures (CAT-5, CAT-6, etc.), SFP s, and Networking MediaKnowledge of passive interconnections elements (ODF s, DDF s, etc.) and RJ-45 terminationsKnowledge of testing equipment (OSA, OTDR, etc.)Knowledge of proper cable management (power, optical, and electrical)Good knowledge of Microsoft Office ProductsGood spoken/written EnglishSKILL SETSEssential - Sense of initiative and versatilityEssential - Strong organizational and rigor to his/her workEssential - Must be able to lift 40 lbs.Essential - Must have the ability to differentiate color codes and have the capacity to work on ladders and overhead Essential - Ability to prioritize emergenciesEssential - Ability to manage tight deadlines Essential - Ability to communicate and work within a teamEssential - Ability to work independently, outside of regular working hours (evening /night and weekend) under minimal supervision GROUP & CLASS: B3-1 Candidate MUST BE a US Citizen.Base Salary: $69,091-$90,855..
