Lead Buyer - Manufacturing Group

We are searching an expert in procurement to stablish a new procurement function at European level for a global manufacturing company. Main responsabilities:

Oversee the procurement of raw materials and indirectsEnsure quality management and resolution of claimsNavigate import restrictions to ensure compliance and continuityDevelop and implement a hedging strategy for energy purchasingPlan and manage sourcing disruptions while ensuring business continuityCollaborate with Sales on pricing and new product introductionsSupport green sourcing initiatives aligned with sustainable product goalsAct as the key contact partner for the HQ purchasing organizationProvide oversight for EU purchasing organizationsUpskill factory purchasing teams to enhance competenciesMonitor stock levels, aging inventory (e. g.

, spare parts), and define quantities for stockHarmonize SAP Masterdata and workflows across regionsConduct supplier evaluations to ensure quality and performance standardsDrive compliance with ESG principles, including implementing a supplier code of conductFoster synergies across purchasing teams Negotiate with local suppliers for the Luxembourg officeRegular travel to suppliers and manufacturing sites across regionsDrive purchasing organization KPIs and ensure consistent reporting standardsQualifications:

At least 8 years of proven experience in strategic procurement and material sourcing for industrial/manufacturing companies Strong understanding of energy markets, hedging strategies, and compliance requirements (nice to have)Expertise in SAP and supply chain workflow harmonizationStrong leadership and team development capabilitiesCommitment to sustainability and ESG principlesEnglish fluent, any other language considered an advantage
