About the RoleAs a senior leader in the data function, you’ll play a key role in building the capability, structure, and strategy for enterprise-wide data analytics and automation. You’ll work across all business units – from finance to retail – driving strategic outcomes through data-led insights and streamlined reporting. This is a leadership role with the scope to shape strategy, develop high-performing teams, and influence the future of banking operations in PNG.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecute the data analytics and automation strategy across all business unitsLead and mentor a high-performing team of analysts and automation specialistsDevelop dashboards and self-service BI tools to support smarter business decisionsDrive automation of repetitive manual processes to increase operational efficiencyPartner with internal stakeholders and external teams (including regional IT teams)Support executive and board-level reporting with data-backed insightsImplement governance, data quality, and real-time performance monitoring frameworksRequirements7+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, and/or automationProven leadership in building and developing high-performing analytics teamsStrong technical skills:
SQL, Python/R, Power BI/Tableau, Excel/VBAExposure to financial services, regulatory reporting, and risk frameworksExcellent stakeholder management and communication skillsBachelor's degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related fieldAbility to translate business strategy into actionable data roadmaps
