Lead Data Governance Specialist (Microsoft Purview) - contract

We're hiring a Senior Data Governance Specialist as part of a large digital transformation project in the public sector. In this role, you'll develop and implement governance policies, configure Microsoft Purview for data cataloging, lineage tracking, and compliance, and integrate Purview with key systems. You'll create governance frameworks, training materials, and validation procedures to ensure data quality and regulatory compliance across the organisation. Develops governance policies for all Critical Data Elements (including new ones) and configures Microsoft Purview for data cataloguing, lineage tracking, and complianceSupports the Data Architect in CDE sign-off by ensuring governance alignment (e.g., compliance with GDPR, CCPA) resulting in : Data governance policy document Purview configuration guide, and data quality validation procedures.
