Our client is hiring for an experienced Lead Design Engineer (Aerospace/Automotive) , based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates location.Job Title: Lead Design Engineer (Aerospace/Automotive)Location: Dubai, United Arab EmiratesIndustry: Aerospace/Automotive/AutomobileExperience Required: 5–8 yearsJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer with strong experience in the Aerospace or Automotive domain. The ideal candidate should have extensive expertise in CATIA V5 and related design tools, with the ability to handle complex design and modelling tasks. This role requires a detail-oriented engineer passionate about innovation, quality, and precision in design — excluding wiring/harness work.Key Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Automotive / Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.5–8 years of experience in mechanical design within the automotive or aerospace industry.Proficiency in CATIA V5 (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting, Surface Design).Knowledge of PLM systems (e.g., ENOVIA, Teamcenter).Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and materials.Familiarity with other CAD tools (NX, Creo, SolidWorks, etc.).Exposure to simulation and analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, HyperMesh) is a plus.Prior experience in airframe, interiors, body structure, or engine components design.Experience with sheet metal, plastics, or composites design is preferred.No harness/wiring design involvement.Roles & Responsibilities:Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5.Work on product design, assembly, and detailing in accordance with project standards and specifications.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, analysis) to ensure design feasibility and functionality.Conduct design reviews, tolerance analysis, and ensure adherence to GD&T standards.Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace/automotive design standards and processes.Participate in DFMEA, DVP, and design validation activities.Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to design optimization.Interested candidate can share their resume to sangeeta.subramani@careernet.in
