Job DescriptionWood is currently recruiting for a Lead Planning Engineer to support our growing operations in SingaporeThe RoleThis position will be responsible to lead and coordinate all project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring activities to ensure the projects are delivered on time, within the scope of work, and aligned with company procedures, standards, work instructions and client requirements.Responsible to prepare level 1 ~ 4 schedules, update, analyze & maintain project schedule across multiple disciplines as per project scope. Candidate should be familiar with planning tools like Primavera P6, EVM (Earned Value Management), CPM (Critical Path Method) and Reporting tools (MS Excel, Power point etc.)What We Can OfferMeaningful and interesting projects delivered to leaders of industry across renewable and emerging energy sectorsCommitment to Diversity and Inclusion; we are an organization actively committed to diversity and inclusion across our business with employee networks committed to giving all employees a voiceCompetitive salary with regular salary reviews to ensure we are rewarding at the right level in line with the marketCommitment to continued professional development; development plans that are tailored to your individual needs and interestsGlobal connections; join experts around the world who are at the leading edge of our industry, shaping the standards of our professionResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Planning and Scheduling ;Plan & prep, prepare, implement & maintain project schedule using primavera P6 or equivalent software in level-1 ~ 4 including schedule basis memorandum (SBM), WBS – work breakdown structure as per project requirementIntegrate schedules from all phases & disciplines (E, P, C, Process, THSE, Civil, Mechanical, Piping, Static, Rotating, E&I, Procurement, Subcontract, Construction till MC & PIT etc.) into Baseline & subsequent updates as per the frequency agreed with Project team & ClientDefine Project milestones, deliverables and Critical PathBuild schedule with logic links & sequence of work to meet project scope & objectivesMonitoring & ReportingSet-up progress measurement systems to bench mark against baseline schedules & current status to report to the project team and client Analyze variances, delays, trends and suggest corrective actions to meet project baseline or agreed variancesSupport Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting & forecastingAgree reporting templates & frequency of issuance to meet project objectivesPrepare Monthly / Weekly and Daily Dashboards as requiredCoordination and CommunicationCoordinate with Project Managers, Discipline leads, Construction leads, Client representatives to get schedule inputs & align the scheduleConduct planning meetings & attend progress reviews with teamPerform Schedule Risk analysis, communicate key schedule risks / opportunities & monitor through Risk registerCoordinate with project team on Change management, attend change reviews & raise changes to monitor and track till implementation.Documentation & SystemsUse of in house planning tools / software’s as neededTimely issuance of reports (Monthly, Weekly, Daily as agreed)Agree & issue planning deliverables, Baseline schedules & updatesEnsure compliance with Company and Client Planning procedures, work instructions & other governance standardsQualifications8 ~ 12 years’ experience in project planning, out of which 3 years in Lead or Senior roleTA (Turn around) planning experience is one of the key consideration for this roleExperience across EPC, Construction, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Infrastructure facilities preferredAbout UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
