Pinnacle College established its first campus at Gilles Plains in 2005, its second campus at Elizabeth East in 2010, and its third campus at Golden Grove in 2019.About The RoleWe are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Learning Support Officers for multiple full time, fixed term contract positions at our Elizabeth East and Gilles Plains campuses. These roles are to provide support for students at the primary level. The Learning Support Officer will work as an integral part of our Inclusive Education Department in a range of classroom and student support activities which contribute to the achievement of literacy and numeracy-based outcomes of students in the school.ResponsibilitiesProvide classroom support to students with diverse learning needsWork with classroom teachers to support the development of differentiated learning activities and assessmentsImplement strategies and provide feedback to the Inclusive Education Coordinator and classroom teachersMonitor student progress and adjust support strategies as necessaryDevelop positive relationships with students, parents, and staffAttend and participate in relevant professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of learning support practicesRequirementsEssential CriteriaCertificate III or higher in Education Support or similarExperience working with students who have additional learning needsA passion for inspiring students to learnWell-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivityFlexibility and an ability to work collaborativelyAbility to work with a variety of IT software platformsA commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the CollegeWorking with Children Check.
