Back to Category ListLeave of Absence and Benefits Assistant (Full Time)Location: Ditty AveLeave Of Absence And Benefits AssistantREGULAR FULL TIME - $24.00-29.00/HRSHIFTS: MONDAY-FRIDAY OFFICE HOURS 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMPosition SummaryThe Leave of Absence and Benefits Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support in the management of company benefits and leave programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate tracking, documentation, and communication of all benefits and leave-related information. This role assists the Leave of Absence and Benefits Specialist in coordinating a variety of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA, short-term disability, personal leaves, and other related programs, while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day administrative support to the Leave of Absence and Benefits Specialist.Assist employees with benefit enrollment, leave requests, and general inquiries regarding eligibility, policies, and processes.Coordinate employee enrollment in benefits programs, including new hire and newly eligible enrollments, and process changes in HRIS and third-party systems.Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including benefits, leave status, and related documentation.Monitor and track employee leave activity, benefit eligibility, hours worked, and status changes; ensure all related deadlines are met.Prepare and distribute required forms, documentation, and communications for benefits enrollment, leaves of absence, return-to-work processes, and employee communications.Serve as a liaison between employees, HR, payroll, and third-party administrators to ensure accurate and timely updates of leave and benefit information.Generate reports, audit files, and maintain compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA and ACA requirements.Support in the coordination of open enrollment and 401(k) meetings.Assist with 401(k) distribution packets, tuition reimbursement requests, and other employee benefit programs.Maintain organized electronic and paper records with attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance.Support the HR Team with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.Skills & QualificationsBilingual in English/Spanish required.Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Professional communication (verbal and written) with employees at all levels.Ability to handle sensitive employee information with discretion.Familiarity with leave laws such as FMLA and ADA.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with HRIS is a plus (Dayforce preferred, or Workday, ADP, SAP, etc.)Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSESAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.1–2 years of HR, benefits, or administrative support experience in a corporate setting preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is:Regularly required to talk or hear. Frequently required to sit and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard or mouse, handle and feel phones, files, and paperwork. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally bend and twist at the waist and neck, and lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
