With a focus on empowering trade and fostering success, ProfitShare Partners is at the forefront of creating opportunities for SMEs.About the RoleLegal Advisor (2-5 years PQE)Location: Johannesburg Industry: Fintech CTC: up to a maximum of R500 000 p/aFull-time, In office Responsibilities Comprehensive knowledge of, and experience with, reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of agreements and documentsAssisting with litigation and active engagement in dispute resolution mattersResearching legal matters and providing legal opinions Continuously staying abreast of changes in legislation and regulationsDeveloping and implementing policies, procedures and processesIdentifying, assessing, implementing and reporting key legal and compliance risk indicators, controls and action plansMonitor legal compliance with fintech and payment industry laws and regulations including FICA, NCA, CPA, FSCA, FAIS and PASA, where applicableProviding day to day legal support, advice and guidance to the companyDeliver internal legal training and awareness campaignsCompetenciesExcellent organisational and administrative skillsAccountable and self-disciplinedAttention to detailAbility to work independently and in a team environmentBusiness acumenSolid corporate commercial and litigation, data privacy, FICA, and compliance experienceDemonstrated strength in contract drafting and negotiation across a wide range of agreementsExperience advising on regulatory matters, preferably in Fintech, financial services or technology sectorsImpact-driven with a solutions-oriented mindsetAbility to work under pressure and manage competing deadlinesArticulate and concise communication skills (written and verbal)Proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate across various business units Experience and QualificationsBachelor of Laws degree (LLB) Admitted attorney in South Africa2-5 years PQEExperienced in fintech, financial services, or fast-moving corporate environments (advantageous) This is a great opportunity to grow within a legal team that values quality results, commitment, professionalism and reliability. To apply: please send your CV to kavisha@profitsharepartners.com or reach out to me directly on LinkedIn for more details.
