It isn’t a question.About The RoleAs Legal and Compliance Manager based in Kazakhstan (Almaty), you’ll be responsible for providing a high level of legal support either directly or by coordinating a team of external lawyers to Export Hub East Cluster - Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirghizstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia) and Belarus, playing a key role in anticipating trends, designing and coordinating the implementation of appropriate legal solutions and strategies. You’ll be involved in the legal support of projects, investigations having potentially significant impact on the business, and developing proper risks assessment and mitigation plans. You will provide professional and strategic advice to the Local Leadership Team and various cluster stakeholders.This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career, as part of a group of Legal professionals supporting Central and Eastern Europe as well as other regions such as Baltics, South-East Europe, Balkans, Adriatic and Mediterranean Islands.Main responsibilities:Support business operations in Caucasus (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kirghizstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia) and Belarus.Participation and counsel to Leadership Team meetings.Negotiating/drafting and/or reviewing a wide range of commercial agreements.Advising on legal aspects of sales commercial practices and promotion including review of product claims and challenges.Advising and managing commercial dispute resolution and litigation.Providing proactive legal support on industry issues, crisis management and product incidents.Oversight and management of legal risks within Risk Management and Compliance framework.Delivering/coordinating legal trainings to client groups.Liaising with other central and regional groups within Legal as well as other functions (such as Corporate Tax, Finance, Regulatory, Supply Chain etc.).Advising on anti-corruption issues (including participation in the application of the Haleon Anti-Bribery and Anti- Corruption Framework).Appropriately manage legal budget in your market(s) so that alternative billing arrangements are reached with Law Firms and costs are decreased as much as possible.Requirements: Bachelors in law; Qualified lawyer/Legal counsel. Master of Law would be a plus. Minimum 3, ideally +5 years of experience advising multinational enterprises and working in a multi-cultural environment.Relevant experience managing multiple markets across several jurisdictions in FMCG, FMCH or Pharmaceuticals industry.Sound knowledge of industry specific commercial practices, European Union Competition Law, Commercial and Corporate Law.
