Job Description

HCB Widdows Mason is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Post Completion team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth transition of property transactions after completion, and it is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to support clients and solicitors in the final stages of residential property transactions.Your key responsibilities will include:Managing post-completion documentation and processes, including registration with the Land RegistryPreparing and submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and ensuring timely paymentCommunicating with clients, solicitors, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information and documentsMonitoring case progress and ensuring all compliance requirements are metConducting final checks on completion statements and other financial documentationMaintaining accurate records in the case management system and ensuring confidentialityProviding administrative support to the team as required, including scheduling and managing appointmentsAssisting with reception duties and other general office tasks as neededRequirementsStrong organisational skills and attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlinesAn understanding of property law and post-completion processes is advantageousPrevious experience in a legal environment is preferred but not essentialBenefitsCompetitive salary dependent on experience25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysHoliday bonus scheme ( up to 12 additional days leave)Pension schemeParking (on a first come first served basis)Comprehensive training and development opportunities including support to study for professional qualificationsCycle to work schemeFirm funded eye testsMedicash PlanNote for recruitment/talent agents/agencies - HCB Widdows Mason Ltd undertakes its own recruitment.
