Job Description

Job Title: Legal Data AnalystLocation: Remote (Worldwide)Job Summary: The Legal Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting legal and regulatory data to support informed decision-making, compliance oversight, and risk management initiatives. This role bridges legal expertise and data analytics by transforming complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, regulatory filings, and policy documents—into actionable insights.Responsibilities Analyze complex legal datasets (litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms) to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks or opportunities. Translate findings into actionable insights for legal strategy, compliance, and business decision-making. Apply your legal subject matter expertise to support the development of AI-driven legal solutions. Create and maintain high-quality training data, craft and refine prompts for large language models (LLMs), and evaluate model outputs for accuracy, relevance, and alignment with legal workflows. Support regulatory compliance efforts by analyzing emerging regulatory requirements and helping translate them into processes and workflows. Design interactive dashboards and management reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) to provide stakeholders with clear visibility into legal metrics, compliance risks, and operational performance. Lead initiatives to automate legal processes, increasing efficiency and reducing operat5ional risks. Optimize deployment and usage of legal technology tools, including through automation and AI. Support the development of regulatory intelligence tools by mapping external regulatory intelligence tools by mapping external regulatory data to internal data models and validating ingested content for accuracy and completeness. Assist in implementing data governance practices, including data classification, retention policies, and quality standards for legal data assets.Requirements Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics, or data analysis within a legal environment. Advanced SQL skills for querying and manipulating large datasets. Experience with Python for data analysis. Ability to translate complex legal concepts into data structures and quantitative analyses. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience in one or more of the following areas: litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, intellectual property, or privacy law. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work product under demanding deadlines.
