Overview of the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned and detail-oriented Legal Manager to oversee all legal, governance, and compliance activities across Axis and its branches. The ideal candidate will ensure full alignment with CBE and other regulatory frameworks while supporting Axis’s expansion, partnerships, and licensing requirements.What You’ll Be Doing• Ensure Axis branches operate in full compliance with local and international regulations.• Oversee corporate governance and ensure Board of Directors (BoD) and shareholder actions comply with internal policies.• Manage filings and correspondence with MCDR.• Coordinate and document BoD meetings, OGMs, and EGMs (including agendas, minutes, resolutions, and filings).• Prepare and submit FDI Reports in line with legal obligations.• Maintain and archive constitutional documents and corporate records.• Draft, review, and negotiate partnership and commercial agreements to support Axis operations.• Handle trademark registration, renewal, and follow-up.• Assist cross-functional leaders (Product, Operations, Compliance) on licensing and regulatory activities.• Liaise with the CBE and other authorities on regulatory matters to ensure adherence to payment regulations.• Coordinate with external counsel on advisory, regulatory, and contract matters.• Support internal policy compliance, periodic audits, and governance reviews.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree or compliance certification is a plus.• 7–10 years of experience in corporate law, governance, and compliance (preferably within fintech or payments).• Strong understanding of CBE frameworks and payment regulations.• Experience working with or liaising directly with the CBE is preferred.• Proven experience in drafting and reviewing international commercial agreements.• Excellent communication, negotiation, and documentation skills.• Fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).Perks of working @ AxisMedical Insurance for you and your family.Life Insurance.Gym subscription.Flexibility with various types of paid time off (PTO) to support work-life balance.Very competitive leave policy including extended Maternity and Paternity leaves.
