Legal Officer - P2P Collection

 About the RoleWe are seeking a Legal Officer to join our Collection Department in the P2P Lending industry.The main responsibility of this role is to handle overdue debts that the collection team has been unable to recover — through legal actions and enforcement measures. This position plays a strategic role in the debt recovery process by utilizing attorney letters, legal notices, and lawsuits to achieve effective and cost-efficient results. Please note: This role does not involve providing daily legal support to the existing collection operations team. Key Responsibilities● Handle overdue and defaulted accounts that require legal intervention.● Prepare and issue attorney letters, legal warnings, and summons to debtors.● Manage and coordinate lawsuit filings and follow up on court proceedings when required.● Liaise with external law firms and relevant authorities to execute recovery actions.● Review and recommend the most effective legal strategies for debt recovery.● Maintain accurate documentation and provide regular reports on case progress.● Ensure all legal recovery processes comply with applicable laws and OJK regulations.  Requirements● Bachelor’s degree in Law (Advocate license is a plus).● Minimum 2 years of experience in litigation, legal recovery, or debt enforcement, preferably from Fintech / P2P Lending / Banking / Multifinance industries.● Strong knowledge of civil and procedural law related to debt collection.● Experience handling court cases and legal recovery is preferred.● Excellent negotiation, communication, and documentation skills.● Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
