About The RoleThe Legal Operations Specialist helps the WEG Legal Team provide top-notch service to internal clients by gathering information in support of contract review or litigation, by directing matters to the right attorney, by providing or assisting with actionable reports, and by helping to ensure that we keep our commitments. He or she is a critical member of the WEG team, building trust through candor and a service mindset, and demonstrating value through reliability, resourcefulness, razor-sharp attention to detail. This professional is responsible for preparing initial NDA drafts using templates, using the CLM system to analyze third-party contracts for compliance with WEG’s US contracting standards and determine whether legal review is required, providing timely feedback to internal customers to improve deal flow, and ensuring that executed contracts are properly stored. Based on performance, this professional may have the opportunity to assist with due diligence in M&A transactions, with discovery matters in litigation, and with sensitive investigations. The ideal candidate is an organized, disciplined team player who does what it takes to get things done.Primary Responsibilities Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, a keen eye for inconsistencies and errors, and solid communication skills to become a "go-to" team member for information, documentation, and other assistance. Monitor all aspects of the contract lifecycle, including (a) generating initial drafts using templates; (b) using the Company’s A.I.-based CLM system to analyze third-party contracts for compliance with WEG’s US contracting standards and determine whether legal review is required; (c) routing matters to the appropriate team member; (d) providing timely information to internal customers to improve deal flow; (e) ensuring that executed contracts are properly stored; and (f) monitoring contract obligations and expiration dates to help internal customers support existing customers. Monitor incoming requests for contract review and, as appropriate, either take the initiative to gather additional information or support Legal Team members' efforts to do so. Upon request, assist the General Counsel with investigations and fact finding related to employment matters and various disputes, including litigation. Assist the General Counsel with day-to-day activities and projects across the full range of legal subject matter. Maintain state corporate filings for the Company and its U.S. subsidiaries. Monitor the legal calendar (e.g., service of process, hearing dates, deadlines, depositions, meetings, conferences, and vacations). Maintain accurate and complete legal files. Proofread various documents. Perform administrative duties such as maintaining lawyers’ calendars, scheduling appointments, mailing letters, compiling documentation, and coordinating travel. Promote good communication with internal clients and among team members. Assist attorneys with expense reports. Conduct legal research as assigned. Process legal vendor invoices. Maintain absolute confidentiality of all legal matters.
