Role Summary: The Junior Purchasing Executive will assist in managing the procurement process to ensure timely supply of materials and services at the best quality and price. This role requires liaising with suppliers, supporting purchase order issuance, and maintaining purchasing data, while coordinating with internal teams and suppliers to meet business needs. Role Responsibilities: Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms. Manage purchasing operations from order creation, monitoring demand and replenishment, to timely delivery and customs clearance. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement requirements and support seamless material availability.
Maintain and update purchase and supplier databases accurately. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance regularly to ensure compliance with company standards. Ensure adherence to group purchasing policies and participate in ISO audits related to purchasing documentation. Act as local coordinator for Material Master creation and Supplier Master data management. Assist in supplier risk assessments and supplier valuation management within SAP or group purchasing systems. Contribute to ad-hoc projects as assigned by management. Role Requirements: Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related discipline. Preferably up to 2 years of experience in purchasing operations.
Proficiency in Mandarin (spoken and written) essential for liaising with China/Taiwan suppliers. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and communication skills. Good organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
