This role provides a range of services related to the support, maintenance, and security of the library.??The appointee may be assigned to a wide range of areas or activities carried out in one of the University libraries, on any of its campuses. These areas and activities may include assisting University staff and students with user queries, shelving of library collections, helping library users locate library materials using the library search systems, assisting users in the use of digital technologies and services, and assisting with library projects.The Library Attendant will work as part of a team but will be expected to exercise a good degree of initiative and be capable of working without supervision.??The post holder will be required to work mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.It is expected that appointees will commence at point 1 of the relevant pay scale -Library Attendant (Grade GO) Salary Scale, i.e., €676.09 gross per week (new entrants) or €738.10 gross per week (pro rata if part-time) unless the arrangements set out in the Circular Letter 08/2019 applySkillsCustomer Service Initiative Teamwork
