REQ13570 Lifeguard (Open)Position SummaryThe Lifeguard ensures the safety of all the guests and patrons in the Facilities, assisting with the smooth operation of the Department in accordance with Company service standards and Standard Operating Procedures also, when required, to do checking and cleaning of the areas and facilities.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnsures safety of all guests and patrons in the facilities by observing all guests activities and patrolling in the areas as assigned and ensure the smooth operation and guest safety. Safety is always the priorityParticipates in regular Lifeguard Trainings and Drills arranged by the department so to upkeep their lifesaving skills and CPR skillsAssists in all guests’ activities in the FacilitiesEnsures that guests of the Facilities follow the rules and safety regulations stipulated by the Company and lawsMaintains knowledge of facilities including facilities/equipment cleaning, checking and maintenanceAdheres to all security and maintenance procedures and practices including reporting any unusual or suspicious incidents, hazards or people, complaints and missing or damaged items in a timely and accurate mannerFollows the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) created by management in order to maintain a consistency in service standards and practicesEffectively attends to customers’ concerns by establishing each customer's needs and trying to meet their requests within constraints provided by the CompanyReports to Supervisor, Pool & Fitness for the coordination of the facility and equipment maintenance At all times acts and behaves properly as the ambassador of the CompanyAdheres and follows all Company policies and procedures.Reports guest complaint, accidents, injuries, workplace hazards and / or security issues to SupervisorObserves and promptly executes all emergency procedures when it arisesCommunicates with fellow team members and departments to proactively provide guest serviceProvide support and assistance to the Company, fellow team members and management as assigned by Aquatic SupervisorEnsures that confidentiality and/or discretion is always maintained regarding guest’s information and activitiesPerforms other reasonable job duties as assigned by superiors from time to timeQualificationsExperience Experience in aquatics facilities including beach, hotel/commercial pools, and waterparkPrevious 5-star hotel service or relevant experience is an advantageEducation Must possess valid CPR and lifeguard license certified by local safety authoritiesSkills / CompetenciesGood swimming skills and lifesaving skillsAbility to work in outdoor recreation facilities is a mustPatience, cheerful and positive mindsetAbility to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holidays on rotation basisGood presentation and groomingDemonstrates advanced communication and interpersonal skillsHas strong sense of teamwork, work ethic and committed to the teamUnderstands different cultures and diversityAdheres to and supports the Company’s Vision & ValuesGood people management skillsExcellent command of English and GreekPerpersonal CompetenciesAchieves agreed objectives and accepts accountability for resultsDisplays a high commitment to delivering resultsLeads others to achieve business objectivesCommunicates effectivelyDisplays the highest level of integrityAbility to maintain discretionSelf-motivatedApproachable
