Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Lifting Supervisor to join our team in Guyana at the Oko West Mine Site. Plan, coordinate, and supervise all lifting operations on the Oko West Mine construction site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements. Inspect, verify, and approve lifting equipment and accessories before use, ensuring proper certification and safe working conditions. Provide guidance and direction to crane operators, riggers, and other lifting personnel to ensure safe execution of lifting activities.
Monitor site operations to prevent unsafe practices, stop hazardous work when necessary, and ensure full compliance with company HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies. RequirementsMinimum education: Technical diploma or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, and/or relevant experience in the construction mining industry. Relevant experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising lifting operations in gold mining construction projectsAdditional skills: In-depth knowledge of lifting procedures, load charts, rigging techniques, and crane operations; strong supervisory and communication skills; proven ability to enforce safety standards and lead teams in high-risk environments.
