Are you positive, constructive, and ingenious?Are you always solving?Then we’d like to meet you and bet you’d like to meet us.Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Assistant (export and domestic) to join our Ashland Specialty Ingredients Poland Sp. z o.o. business at our Warsaw (Poland) office This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the logistics function. This position will report to Logistics Supervisor.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Monitor and create deliveries for the material that need to ship and perform Goods Issue and Receipt, block damaged goods, unblock when needed Work with customer service representatives, inventory planners, logistics, and vendors to resolves issues and expedite orders if necessary. Monitor stock to make allocations on daily basis, inform CS about incomplete or blocked orders Follow up on expected inbound shipments, specially urgently needed for outbound orders, communicate urgency to agent Arranging ‘express shipments’ Management of road carriers. Management of returns orders. Liaising with freight forwarders regarding outbound shipments. Preparing documents required for shipping. Updating the deliveries / shipments to acknowledge confirmation of shipping. Entering freight accruals Perform cycle counts Help drive improvement projects within the supply chain.In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Education background or 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position. Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken. Experience with Microsoft Office Good understanding of the business process is a pre, understanding the customer service, warehouse, production and logistics processes are an advantage.
