The role involves coordinating vessel husbandry services, ensuring smooth vessel turnaround, and managing logistics for cargo, crew, and ship supplies. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced maritime environment.⸻Key ResponsibilitiesPort Agency & Vessel Operations • Coordinate operational requirements for visiting vessels (tankers, bulk carriers, LNG, navy ships, yachts). • Assist with pre-arrival documentation, port forms, berthing arrangements, and inward/outward clearance. • Liaise with port authorities, terminal operators, pilots, tug services, and other stakeholders. • Support Owners Protective Agency matters where required.Husbandry & Marine Services • Arrange crew changes, medical assistance, store deliveries, and transportation. • Coordinate Ship Spares in Transit and Ship Supply deliveries. • Organise stevedoring and cargo services for wet and dry bulk operations.Freight Forwarding Coordination • Support multimodal shipments (Air, Sea, and Land) for clients and vessels. • Prepare shipping documents, track cargo, coordinate customs clearance, and liaise with carriers.Offshore & Oil & Gas Support • Assist in logistics planning for offshore supply operations, including equipment dispatch and vessel support.Administrative & Operational Support • Maintain accurate records of vessel operations and service costs. • Prepare operational reports, cost estimates, and invoices. • Ensure timely communication with principals, agents, and suppliers. • Uphold company standards for compliance, safety, and customer service.⸻Required Skills & Experience • Experience in shipping, port agency, freight forwarding, or maritime operations (preferred but not essential). • Strong coordination and communication skills. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks. • Good understanding of logistics and supply chain processes. • Competent in MS Office and operational software (training provided). • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. • Must be able to work outside normal hours when required during vessel operations.⸻Salary Range£28,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on: • Experience in maritime operations • Previous port agency or freight forwarding background • Ability to manage vessels independently • Out-of-hours availability for vessel callsAdditional benefits may include: • Performance bonuses • Training and professional development • Opportunities to progress within Operations or Commercial roles
