Experience with Imports and Shipping EssentialSupplier of High Quality ProductsPosition located in South MelbourneReporting to the General Manager Finance and Operations, the position of Logistics Coordinator is a pivotal role, that provides support to the commercial team by managing logistics activities, ensuring quality management, and maintaining compliance in line with operations strategy.Key Responsibilities:Shipping Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers to secure bookings on designated vessels, ensuring optimal use of protected space allocations (PSA). Maintain proactive communication with carriers and freight forwarders to guarantee timely, accurate, and efficient bookings.Certificates of Analysis: Establish and maintain a system to ensure supplier Certificates of Analysis are checked against agreed specifications.Sample Management: Assist with ordering and dispatching samples as requested by the commercial team.Logistics Coordination: Manage outbound logistics for PD orders, ensuring sales prices are verified, stock is available, and products are delivered on time. Ensure all relevant documents (e.g., certificates of analysis, POD, invoices) are issued promptly.Inbound Logistics: Handle Purchase Orders in SAP, coordinate with suppliers, ensure timely shipping documents for customs clearance, and manage import documentation.Stock Management: Oversee stock control in SAP and reconcile monthly stock reports.Consignment Stock: Prepare and send consignment stock reports, invoice customers accordingly, and record used quantities in SAP.Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.Skills and Qualifications:Computer literacy: Intermediate proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office.Attention to detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in all tasks.Independence: Capable of working autonomously while meeting deadlines.Organisation: Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams and external partners.Experience:Proven experience in logistics, particularly in imports.Working knowledge of Incoterms, Bills of Lading, Shipping Documents, and Letters of Credit.Experience in dealing with warehouses and transport companies.If you are passionate about logistics, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and have the necessary skills and experience, we encourage you to apply to join a dynamic team.Located opposite Albert Park Lake, onsite parking provided, close to public transport.
