Job InformationThe logistics manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day execution with a strong emphasis on operational consistency and control. Responsible for warehouse management, including direct oversight of the Warehouse Supervisor and Shipping/Receiving Coordinator. Key ResponsibilitiesNegotiates logistics and operational contracts (freight, customs, other) and builds strategic partnerships in collaboration with the Director of OperationsMonitor freight and brokerage invoices incomingSet up incoming freight as requiredCoordination of export orders and export paperwork Procuring HS codes as requiredMaintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular inventory audits.Handle Inventory Adjustments as required, while maintaining back-up records to support each adjustmentReviewing Non-Stock Items, investigating and cleaning up where required. Advising the Director of Operations of any issues requiring actionUpload of Inventory records to Vendor Portals as required (Viking, LMI, etc)Support Director of Operations on the recruit, train and supervision of warehouse staff Evaluate and report to management on warehouse productivity.Complete shipping and receiving coverage assistance requiredIn consultation with Shared Services, ensure the warehouse complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.Enforce safety procedures and protocols.Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards.Maintain warehouse adherence to company policies, standards, and compliance with health and safety regulations Performs other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives and organizational needs Qualifications:3+ years of relevant logistics and inventory management experience preferred3+ years of management experienceB/A, B/S in a related field a plusHigh School Diploma or its equivalentGood written and verbal/oral communication skillsKnowledge of MS Office software and AdobeSelf-driven with a positive attitude and demeanorCustomer service experienceExcellent communication, time management and organizational skillsProfessional telephone etiquetteAbility to work independently Physical Demands Frequently required to standFrequently required to walkContinually required to sitContinually required to utilize hand and finger dexterityOccasionally balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawlContinually required to talk or hearContinually utilize visual acuity to read technical information and/or use a keyboardOccasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 25 poundsOccasionally work near moving mechanical partsOccasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicalsOccasionally exposure to outside weather conditionsOccasionally loud noise (examples: shop tool noises, electric motors, moving mechanical equipment)Work EnvironmentThis role operates in a professional office environment 95 % of the time and 5% in a warehouse environment with flexibility for hybrid work. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required.
