Logistics ManagerGlobal FMCG based near Slough (Hybrid working, 60 / 40 office/ home working)£65,000 - £75,000 plus bonus and benefitsThe opportunity:Are you a highly analytical individual with a passion for logistics and continuous improvement? We are looking for a Logistics Manager to lead a Team in a fast-paced FMCG business. You will be a visible in your leadership and manage a team of 3 direct reports through a period of change. Highly analytical in your approach, you will drive Continuous Improvement whilst working closely Cross Functionally. Reporting into the Supply Chain Director, you will execute operational plans and provide a customer centric approach. What will my accountabilities be?Budget Management: Provide input to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budget for warehousing, distribution, and inbound logistics. Deliver against the budget through monthly cost control, managing variances, and handling accruals and invoices.Operational Excellence: Execute local operational plans to achieve optimal warehousing and distribution costs and service levels. Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, monitoring the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of goods movement.International Transportation: Oversee international transportation, ensuring efficient processes and competitive logistics costs.Customer and Supplier Liaison: Collaborate with customers and suppliers to optimise satisfaction and maximise efficiency.Data Analysis: Analyse in-depth data to monitor performance, cost development, and plan process improvements with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and customers.Compliance and Accuracy: Ensure accuracy of transactional data and compliance with local legal requirements in collaboration with LSPs.Best Practices Implementation: Implement central and external best practices, such as pooling and transport optimization, and coach others across the supply chain to adopt these practices.Who will I be working with?Building and maintaining strong relationships is key to the success of this role. Internally you will work with the wider Supply Chain, Procurement & Purchasing, Sales & Marketing and Finance. Externally the key partnerships are working with the Third-Party Logistics Providers and regular visits to these sites is essential in driving efficiencies and improve processes. A great candidate will have:Extensive experience within FMCG Supply Chain / LogisticsA strong working knowledge of SAP and Business Intelligence Tools.
