Together with passionate people from all over the world, you’ll test new ideas, learn and grow, and unlock a brighter, more exciting future.Join us to create a career worth celebrating.Purpose Of The RoleThis role is directly responsible for the end-to-end Transport & Warehouse operations of South LAC markets (Argentina, Peru, Chile).This role is responsible for service, control, performance management, strategy delivery and codification of the South LAC logistics operations.It is also responsible to influence other areas across the supply chain of South LAC (including third party operators) as the logistics operations are the end of the chain and face our customers.The role will cover the taxonomies of transport, warehousing, excellence delivery, logistics suppliers’ contracts and performance management.The outcomes of this role are mainly measured in service to our customers, cost efficiency, health & safety, collaboration, and value crafting relationships.It is responsible for delivering all Transport & Warehouse critical metrics to delivering growth targets for South LAC.This role is responsible for logistics operations that will deliver during F26 3.6m EU’s, representing +$190m of NSV for Diageo. Annual logistics spend is +$8M. It leads all aspects of Diageo owned warehouses and 3rd party warehouses. This role requires strong leadership and influence of end-to-end logistics operations, including third-party logistics partners and transport companies.This role will lead a team of +3 FTEs, in addition to 3PL teams and transport suppliers.Key AccountabilitiesRun Transport & Warehouse operations for South LAC marketCostings within budget and service provided to be within the planned financialsLead and empower the logistics team to deliver South LAC growth targets, and build a future talent pipeline for business continuityLead Transport & Warehousing initiatives in partnership with other areas and external partners and create cost to serve improvement initiatives for South LACUnderstanding South LAC dynamics to ensure credibility of Planning & Logistics and deliver continuous improvement year on yearStrong influence on key collaborators (South LAC Directors, LAC P&L Director and Commercial leadership team) to get key logistics initiatives implemented and delivered Strong connection with other supply chain functions to ensure delivery of overall supply completionLead and influence transport companies and third party logistics providers across South LACMarket ComplexityThe logistics processes are highly manual and often subject to repeated manual correction – orders are touched multiple timesGround-breaking initiatives must be enabled by this roleTechnology use is low.Business continuity is a critical priority for this roleSecurity is an important consideration in South LACCompliance is an important consideration in South LACRequirements – Capabilities, Skills & ExperienceMinimum 10 years of overall supply chain experience preferably in more than 1 pillar like Logistics, Manufacturing, Planning, SourceMinimum 5 years’ experience leading Warehousing and Transport operations in FMCG/Retail/manufacturing companiesConfirmed experience handling 3PL operationsStrong leadership of teams with sophisticated collaborator matrixConsistent record to engage and align senior collaborators behind plans and win support for implementing change within the organisationConfirmed experience leading and delivering Continuous Improvement, Cost Reduction and Health & Safety programsAbility to optimize cost in transport & warehouse operations Ability to lead in environments where influence is more important than formal authorityDemonstrable knowledge of end to end supply chain and Customer collaborationExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written combined with the ability to engage effectively at all levels in the organisationExcellence In Supply ChainUpholds Standards – The role holder will be encouraged to produce and accept logistics standards, apply them effectively in their role and adhere to them at all times.Shape the future - The role holder will be encouraged to actively look out for and understand the latest industry trends and apply them in Logistics operation to set the team up for successPerformance Management – The role holder will understand the importance of important metrics in driving performance, know who to supervise their targets and course correct as appropriate.Continuous Improvement – the role holder will be expected to be flexible and accept change, continually looking for ways to improve everything they do.
