We specialize in rugged products for Mining, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Logistics, and Agriculture, including the Telecoms industries. We supply rugged mobile devices to the consumer market through online and walk-in clients.Rugged SA has an in-house technical division and Customer Service team that differentiates us from others as rugged device suppliers. Our growth has been exponential in the past three years which indicates we are achieving our strategic goals as a Company.Note that Rugged SA will be relocating to Irene, Pretoria in June 2026. Only those candidates that will be able to relocation will be considered. Detailed Job Description Duties will include, but not limited to the following:Accurately complete all customs-related documents (e.g., invoices, HS codes, customs worksheets, SAD500, Clearing Instructions, and certificates of origin, etc)Correct classification and valuation of goodsQuality control and verification before submissionAssess the accuracy of customs duties, tariffs, and VAT calculationsEffectiveness of communication with internal stakeholders, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authoritiesResponsiveness and clarity in communicationAbility to coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve customs & logistical issuesAbility to identify and mitigate potential customs risks and resolve issues proactivelyDemonstrate cost savings or performance gainsContinuous improvement enhances productivity and reduces operational costsEvaluates effectiveness in managing costs related to freight, customs duties, brokerage fees, and clearance chargesMinimization of penalties and demurrageStaying up to date with changing customs regulations and trade agreementsAbility to manage relationships professionallyDemonstrates strong governance and compliance controlEnsuring that landed cost is kept to a minimumNegotiate freight rates on a frequent basisEnd-to-end logistics managementAssist with TDN’s & VOC’sMinimum work experience:Minimum of 3 (three) years in logistics/freight with customs knowledge Project Management/facilitating experienceProficient in Microsoft Office applications (MS Teams, Excel (intermediate to advanced), PowerPoint and Outlook Attributions The below is non-negotiable: Highly motivated and self- starterEnergetic and detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skillsStrong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities and work under pressure.Time management and proper planningWell-organized with OCD and able to work independentlyGreat attitude and team playerResult-orientatedQualifications Matric or equivalent Post matric qualification in Logistics advantageous
