Minimum RequirementsMatric certificate or equivalentProcurement qualificationBachelor’s degree in business administration or related field will be an advantage.Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with inventory softwareA valid driver’s licenseMedically fit to work undergroundExperience, Knowledge & Skills5 years’ proven experience as a Buyer or similar roleStrong understanding of inventory managementAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Effective communication and negotiation skillsProcurement knowledge in the Mining industryEffective communication skillRoles & ResponsibilitiesInteract with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and productsCheck production schedules and deadlines and adjust them as needed.Monitor and manage inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessaryTrack orders and ensure they are fulfilled in a timely mannerPrepare and maintain detailed reports on materials and equipment status.Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report those to the supplier.Track inventory and ensure the stock is adequate.Resolve issues related to delayed shipments or unexpected changes in the supply chain.
