Job Description

 Procurement·      Assist with buying duties where required. ·      Obtain 3 quotes before purchases are made and select the most cost-effective quote which also meets the requirements of the purchase needed. ·      Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and those goods meet specifications·      Goods Receipt Purchase Orders on SAP ·      Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems·      Review requisition orders to verify accuracy, terminology and specifications·      Prepare, maintain and review purchasing files, reports and price lists·      Compare suppliers’ bills with purchase orders to verify accuracy·      Monitor and track procurement spending for BBBEE verification purposes, ensure BBBEE certificates and other documents are stored in electronic format and are easily accessible Accounts Payable·      Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to the department’s originating request.·      Capture all supplier invoices on SAP and perform clearings after payments are made·      Obtain Statements from suppliers at every month end·      Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies·      Ensure all monthly mandatory payments are made timeously to avoid service interruptions·      Resolve supplier queries·      Review and evaluate new supplier application forms. Create new vendors on Ariba and assist with the vendor loading process. Follow up with vendors for missing information – streamline the process. ·      Meet local and regional deadlines, ensuring accounts remain open and not suspended·      Assist with Internal, external & BBBEE audits·      Other ad-hoc tasks as required·      Ensure adherence to the HSE roles, responsibilities & accountabilities as defined in MS-0047700-HSE Roles Responsibilities & Authorities.·      Comply and ensure implementation of the company’s and the customer’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
