Role Description As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials to ensure efficiency and accuracy throughout the supply chain. You will oversee transportation, inventory management, order fulfillment, and vendor coordination to support timely and cost-effective delivery. This role requires excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain principles. You will collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and carriers to optimize logistics processes, reduce costs, and maintain service excellence. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment that demands precision and problem-solving.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control.Manage order processing, shipment scheduling, and tracking to ensure on-time delivery.Communicate with carriers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve delivery or inventory issues.Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics performance metrics.Optimize logistics processes to improve cost efficiency, speed, and reliability.Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.Prepare logistics documentation such as bills of lading, invoices, and customs declarations.Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.Support contract negotiations and vendor relationship management.Collaborate with procurement, operations, and customer service teams to align logistics activities with business goals.QualificationsStrong knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and transportation management principles.Excellent organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in logistics and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, or TMS platforms).Strong communication and negotiation abilities for dealing with vendors and partners.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar tools.Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.Professional certification (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) is an advantage.
