Job Details Job Title: Logistics SupervisorReport to: Last Mile Delivery ManagerSector: Logistics & DistributionBusiness Unit: Frozen SolutionsJob Purpose: Manage day to day presales deliveriesJob DimensionsNumber of staff supervised: 20 minimumKey AccountabilitiesStrategicOversee logistics outbound operations and ensure efficient supply chain processes.Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.Implement and maintain safety protocols and procedures.OperationalSchedule Shipments and Deliveries, the main responsibility of a Logistics Supervisor is to oversee the transportation of products from one location to another.Maintain Warehouse Inventory, a Logistics Supervisor will study client or customer needs and manage inventory based on these needs. This often includes analyzing product orders to research the need for keeping certain items in stock.Understanding planning, shipping, warehouse management and inventory systems.Managing daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries.Tracking the progress of shipments.Understand 3PL/2PL deliveries.Route Planning and outbound deliveries.Responsible for accurate and timely pulling and shipping of MOs for production by coordinating with Material Handling to ensure that each line has the appropriate type and number of components to run and changeover efficiently and effectively.People Coordinate and ensure proper loading and unloading of all trucks.Ability to manage people of drivers, helpers.Ability to coordinate with warehouses, finance, and sales.Communication & Working Relationship Internal Communication: Category Heads, Geography Heads, Innovation, Last Mile Delivery Manager, Distribution Manager.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsAcademic and professional qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering from a reputed University; specialization in Finance, Operations, Marketing and Sales Management would be preferred.Experience5+ years of experience preferably in consumer products / packaged goods sector.Performance MeasuresBottom-line: % Adherence to spend budget.Execution Excellence: Project performance index (measures adherence to delivery timelines and costs + benefits realized + adoption).Human Capital: Employee Engagement Score.Operational Performance: OTIF.Operational Performance: Transportation Efficiency.Core Competencies DistributionEffective Communication and TeamworkAccountability and OwnershipCreativity and InnovationDriving Results and Continuous ImprovementCritical Thinking and Problem SolvingEmpowerment and DelegationDecision Making and JudgementStrategic and Forward ThinkingBehavioral Attributes Analytical ThinkingResilienceAccountabilityAttention to DetailInnovative ThinkingStress ManagementVisionary PerspectiveDeveloping PeopleChange AgentEntrepreneurial MindsetInfluenceTechnical SkillsBusiness Strategy UnderstandingBusiness PlanningProduct MixKnowledge of IndustryBusiness Value Chain AnalysisKnowledge of Analytics Tools
