We are seeking a Technical Engineer – MEP to join our project technical office in the Marsa Alam area. This position supports multiple large-scale construction and renovation projects across several premium resorts.
This is an office-based, design-focused role responsible for developing complete MEP systems layouts and technical documentation, ensuring integration with architectural designs provided by external consultants. The role requires a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with architects, project managers, and contractors. Your MissionDesign & DocumentationDevelop detailed mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system designs based on architectural plans, ensuring compliance with project requirements, brand standards, and local codes. Produce drawings, schematics, and technical specifications for MEP systems using CAD and other relevant software.
Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, and interior design teams to ensure seamless system integration. Technical CoordinationCollaborate with third-party architects, specialist consultants, and contractors to resolve design challenges and ensure feasibility. Adapt and optimize designs to meet operational needs, sustainability goals, and budget constraints. Review and incorporate value engineering proposals where appropriate. Project SupportPrepare and update MEP design packages for tendering and construction documentation. Support the procurement process by specifying equipment, reviewing supplier proposals, and advising on technical selections. Assist with technical clarifications during the construction phase through RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and design adjustments as needed.
Compliance & StandardsEnsure all designs adhere to local regulations, international codes, and Accor brand standards. Integrate energy-efficient and sustainable solutions into MEP designs, supporting Accor’s environmental commitments. QualificationsYour Experience & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline). Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP design and documentation for large-scale projects; hospitality experience is an advantage. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and other design tools. Strong understanding of HVAC, power distribution, lighting, fire safety, water supply, and drainage systems. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building standards is desirable.
Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple project deliverables.
