This internship offers hands-on experience in applied ML development within the fintech space, working alongside experienced professionals to contribute to meaningful projects for the #1 retail futures trading platform.In this role you will:Collaborate closely with senior machine learning engineers to support NinjaTrader's ML roadmapAssist in model evaluation by analyzing performance metrics and identifying opportunities for improvementContribute to feature engineering efforts to enhance model accuracy, robustness, and generalizationParticipate in experiments to optimize model performance and support A/B testing initiativesHelp document best practices, findings, and model decisions for future iterationsAnalyze large datasets using SQL and Python to extract meaningful insightsSupport data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model tuning using Python and ML libraries such as Scikit-learn and XGBoostHelp build prototype pipelines for ML model deployment and monitoringGain exposure to cloud-based tools such as BigQuery, dbt, and LookerCollaborate with Product, Strategy, and Engineering teams to translate business problems into ML solutionsWhat you'll need:Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related fieldDemonstrated programming experience with Python and SQLFamiliarity with machine learning concepts, algorithms, and model evaluation techniquesExperience with libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and MatplotlibBasic understanding of probability theory and statistical inferenceStrong problem-solving skills and a passion for applying ML to real-world problemsAbility to communicate technical findings clearly and effectivelySelf-motivated with strong time management and collaboration skillsBonus points for:Prior internship or project experience in machine learning or data scienceFamiliarity with MLOps, model versioning, or deployment best practicesExperience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other deep learning frameworksWe are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.
